We deliver Sydney student wellbeing seminars, and Glen Gerreyn spent 20 years living and working in this city. He knows the run of a Sydney school year the way only a local can.
On 5 December 2025, Glen ran a 2-hour Men of Honour seminar with the Year 10 boys at Epping Boys High School. He set one invitation: take an action and tell us about it. 25 boys wrote in of their own accord. One set a target to earn $10,000 before Year 12. Another committed to 100 basketball makes a day. By January, one had written, directed and edited his first short film.
One boy wrote: “I hope that with these tools, and your guidance and wisdom, I can attain a better self. Someone who is more connected to the people around him, and to himself.”
That’s the bar for a high school speaker. Not a good day in the hall. Students who walk out and do something on Monday. Read what all 25 of them wrote in the Epping Boys High School case study.
Glen has spent more than 25 years doing this in 750 schools across Australia, and Sydney schools have booked this work for 2 decades. We know the shape of the NSW calendar, the pressure on a Year 12 cohort heading into Trials and the HSC, and how hard it is to land an incursion between sport, exams, and everything else on the term planner.
Many principals start their search with high school motivational speaker. Glen answers to that title, then goes further: students leave with tools on paper and a plan for Monday.
What Our Sydney Student Wellbeing Seminars Bring Into the Room
Hope is a skill. We name it, we teach it, and we give students the tools to practise it: grit, optimism, courage, and resilience. Our seminars are built for Years 7 to 12 and they’re delivered in person, because a screen can’t hold a room of teenagers the way a person in front of them can.
Every seminar is research-based and aligned with the Australian Student Wellbeing Framework, and built to fit the wellbeing and pastoral care program you already run. We don’t replace your work. We give your students and your staff a shared language to keep using long after we’ve packed up and gone home.
