“A few days ago, you visited my school, SJII, in Singapore, and truly broadened my horizons. I never saw myself, nor this world in the way you explained it, which I think is a crucial game-changer for people at my age. Out of everything you said, I couldn’t find one standout thing because everything seemed equally poignant, and now the paper with all the insights I wrote down is safe in my drawer with special and important belongings of mine. As someone who overthinks a lot, the fire in me to keep believing I have a special purpose in life fluctuated in intensity, but after hearing your talk, I felt like I had the understanding to overcome that and beat my negativity. I also feel like I can now internalise and genuinely mean and believe my daily affirmations and any visualisation exercises I do after that talk. So, in simple words, I want to say thank you. Thank you for exposing us to that, for reigniting our fire in us, and for reminding us what we are really here on this earth for, not to be motivated, but to be committed, and to be purposeful with what we do. I hope that in the future, I can look back with pride and gratitude and always remind myself of what you sought to instil in us.”
