“You came and spoke to my cohort (Immanuel College) on the 28th of November 2025 at the function centre at Adelaide zoo. Your speech was the catalyst that made me aware of how I want my life to progress. With my parents divorcing in 2019, difficult family situations, and a whole lot of emotional baggage to deal with, I realised how I had cushioned myself in this “protective” box, but really this protection was keeping my expectations and self esteem low, and my dreams unacknowledged. I’d just like to say thank you for being my catalyst. My win after your speech was a run. I did a half-marathon last year and want to do one again this year, and hopefully improve my time. Look forward to seeing you at my school again soon!”
