Canberra Girls Grammar School

“You spoke to the year 11s at my school about leadership. At first I thought this was going to be full of the average rhetoric from motivational speakers to teenagers that we are so accustomed to hearing. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Your seminar today really resonated with me, in particular, the requirement for action at the time of motivation instead of putting things you have been meaning to do off to the point where they get lose value or don’t get done as well as the quote “If all days were sunny, you would end up with a desert”. Without your moving words, I wouldn’t have been bothered to look into these options and I fear I would have wasted time waiting for opportunities to present themselves when in reality, it is on me to create those opportunities. Your words not only inspired me to actively seek future goals, careers and opportunities but also tick of a load of things I have been putting off such as booking in driving lessons to get my Ps as well as bringing a real flair, drive and intent to training tonight to try and drive the standard within the team. Thanks so much for coming to our school. You have really challenged, reinforced and inspired the way I think and I can’t say enough good things about the work you do.”
